The month of June in Maine is full of lupines. I usually paint some flower portraits as I call them, watercolor vignettes of lupines and other beautifully blooming flowers. One day my son bursts through the door and insists that we buy all new lightbulbs for our house. He further explained that if all the households in America changed their light bulbs to this efficient flourescent light bulb the energy crisis would be over and the problems in the world would be solved. While I am all in favor of buying efficient light bulbs and other appliances, I nevertheless felt I needed to respond to this youthful exhuberance. The result is "Reason Enough".
